Excelerate Performance Announces KONI "Yellow" Sport Shock Sale!!!

This is a Special Acurazine Pricing Event for the Koni "Yellow" Sport Shocks. If you are interested in any other Koni products PM me. This sale will last till May 31st 2011.

The Koni Sport product line is one of our specialities. Koni serves Sporting Drivers with a carefully designed range of sport shock absorbers. This product focuses on exceptional road holding and handling, combined with a reasonable level of driving comfort. They can also be used with spring kits to lower a vehicle up to 35mm.

Many of the Koni Sport dampers are externally adjustable by means of an adjustment knob at the top of the damper. This means you do not have to remove the damper from the vehicle to adjust the rebound forces. This enables you to fine tune the handling & ride to suit your driving style.

Dampers without the top adjustable feature can still be adjusted, although they will need to be removed from the vehicle to achieve this. You may wish to use lowered springs with the Koni Sport range, if you do this please be aware the maximum lowering permitted is 35mm. Please also ensure that any bump stops are re-fitted to ensure no damage occurs to the valving should the damper bottom out.

KONI "YELLOW" SPORT SHOCK

Features

* Big handling improvements
* Reasonable ride quality
* External rebound adjustment on most cars
* Best KONI shock for all lowering springs
* Re-buildable and re-valveable for custom vehicle setups
* Yellow exterior finish
* Lifetime Warranty

The website already reflects the discounted price, there is no promo code. Each shock is sold individually.

The shocks have 3 perches: one 20mm lower, one at standard height determined by the springs on the vehicle, and one 20mm higher.

25.4mm = 1 inch

Do the three perches apply to both the front and rear? I thought I read only the front shocks have them.

What if I changed the front Aspec shocks to put these? Im guessing I would be able to go lower...but what about ride quality? Would the ride quality be similar to the Aspec suspension?

PS I live in Pothole city, NY.

The lowest perch drops it an additional 20mm. If you are putting Accord springs on a TL I would have no idea how low it would bring the vehicle.

Here is the link to the Super Cup Kit:

Yes they use the same shocks since the SP3 shocks are not made anymore.

You can keep the shock at standard height and keep the same drop you have...

Yes these will be a perfect suit for those springs.

The shocks have 3 perches: one 20mm lower, one at standard height determined by the springs on the vehicle, and one 20mm higher.

Just installed this on my 08 with an Eibach Pro Kit. So far incredible. Haven't yet adjusted the stiffness, but will post when I do. Let me know if you want any details on how they ride.

Konis are awesome from stock springs to race springs. That's why the rebound is adjustable, to go with different spring rates.

They can be as soft as stock or outright race stiff. I've run them with my stock springs, with a-spec and now custom rate rear springs which are the same rate as my front springs and they do great.

One thing you will notice with the Konis is they control body motion and suspension motion very well without being harsh.

I ordered my second rear set from Excelerate and they arrived right on time, excellent service.

Do you ship to Canada? If so, how much for a set to V5H 2J8?

Thanks

At this price I literally might buy another front set even though I don't have to have them.

Its funny they put up a picture of a strut when advertising the shocks. To clarify Konis generic instructions, all Koni Sports for a TL are externally adjustable.

Yes we ship to Canada. All you have to do is add the parts to the shopping cart, create an account, and then add your country and then postal code. This will give you a shipping quote via UPS Standard.

Yes please do comment on the ride quality over bad roads and the handling improvements you have noticed. Can you compare it to any other cars or set ups you have driven?

I am debating a suspension upgrade in my high mileage 04 automatic (146K miles and running strong!). Want better handling but want to maintain compliant ride over bad roads and harsh expansions/potholes. Have narrowed my choices down to:

1. Stay stock
2. A-spec
3. Stock springs with konis or tokico hts
4. Eibach pro kit with konis or tokico hts

If the Koni FSD were available for this car I think my decision would be made already! I have a TL-S rear bar that will go on next week. Would really appreciate any feedback on my options or suggestions on others, THANKS!
