Entire car moves **possible blown suspension?

Recently notice my entire car shifts left and right rather unsafe when I go over the little reflector frogs on the road.. I have the Tein Street Flex.

I suspect they are blown as I was just working on the car the other night and all 4 coilovers cylinders seem real dirty with oil/ grease on them..

I have the damper settings at 13 Fronts and 15 Rear

Thanks!

WOW you have them set soft.

I assume you mean you turned the knob to full stiff (turned the knob clockwise til it wouldn't go further)...and then counted back 13 and 15 clicks?

That's way soft.

I am hoping you did it that way. If you turned the knob to full soft first (counter clockwise til it wouldn't go further), and then counted clicks upward...then...yeah, you might have blown them because that's absolutely the wrong way to set them.

How old are they (miles)?

Have you had the car aligned?

Snap a few good pics of the shocks and post them. It would be unusual for them to be blown...street flexes are only a few years old as a model.

Have you checked your compliance bushings? End links?

End links and compliance bushings are all new.

100% honesty I haven't messed with the "dampering" because I don't fully understand it. I bought the car with this suspension on it. So I'm not sure how old it really is. The last owner said that's what he ran. I left it there since then.

So if indeed they are blown which I think they are I might as well trash it.

they felt weird since day one. I've owned the car for less than 6 months.

Wipe them clean and see if they get covered in oil again

I bet they weren't installed/set correctly by the last owner they are more complicated than a normal coilover.

Try setting your front set to a stiffer setting to see if that helps (four clicks from full stiff). Can you reach out to precious owner and see how many miles? I'm pretty sure flex came out only two years ago cuz that's when I got them and was one of the first ones

Turn the knobs clockwise. Count clicks to see where he had them set.

Once the knob stops turning clockwise...STOP. Don't force it. That puts the shock valving fully closed or "stiff".

Then turn clicks counterclockwise (towards soft). Count the clicks.

Set it back 4 clicks from full stiff.

See if that helps.

The front is easy to get to.
