Eibach lowering spring install 6MT
Just finished installing the Eibach lowering springs on my 04 6MT and after taking it for a spin to get it settled noticed it was not sitting level. Fronts are right around 26" and rears were 25-5/8". I removed the rears while I still had the rear seat out and put back in the stock springs to get height back up to around 26" on all 4 corners. I double checked the p/n on the rear springs and they were correct (4044.002), but will not have a chance to take off fronts until Sunday. I did not take measurements before I installed the springs, but I don't think the fronts were as high as they are now (stock setup had a slight rake to it.) The springs I took off were definitely the original stock springs.
Any tips or suggestions? I'm guessing the front springs are wrong, but they looked like the right shape and were slightly shorter than the stock springs I took off. I did not have any real difficulties with the install otherwise.

I'm just guessing here, but you are measuring from ground to wheelwell? The front wheelwell is cut higher up so you should get a different height than the rear. A measurement before the swap may have confirmed this.

I was afraid of the Koni adjustable shocks being the only real solution here. I was not aware that this was an issue with the Eibach springs, are the front springs so stiff because they are also used on the auto TLs?

This is a typical problem with the Eibachs. They have the saggy rear syndrome. I have the Eibach springs paired with Tokico Blues. Had it for a year now, and the rear only got lower with time. In fact, I hate the look so much that I am ditching them in June. I am getting Function Form coilovers.

I had the Eibachs installed on my TL-S a couple weeks ago and the rear is a tad bit lower than the front but I don't mind the "raked" look because that's a pretty common design element with many cars (M3 sedan, G37 etc.) The TL already comes from the factory with the raked appearance and since the Eibach's lower 1" all around, it keeps this look even after lowering.
I plan on getting the Koni SP3s put in later in the summer but even then, not sure I'd fix the raked look.
If it's that unappealing, just swap springs and sell your Eibachs.

Yes, the rear end with the Eibachs looked just like that when they were in, maybe a little more gap because I only have 17s on it. I think I'll have to bite the bullet in a few months and just buy the adjustable Konis, that way I can lower the front and raise the back a hair to level it out.
Not sure if it would've made a difference if I had known about the "saggy butt" condition with the Eibachs, as they are better springs than what was on it. I probably would've held off and bought the Konis and springs together.
