Dubs

Looking to throw some 20's on my 06 TL. Just curious, once I get them will I need to roll the fenders or will I just be able to throw them on? Any tips or advice would be great. Also will putting the rims on throw off the spedometer?

for 20's i think you would need to roll the fenders, but it depends on the offset. If you have an A-spec body kit, it would need to be trimmed slightly. The speedo would become accurate if you got tires to compensate for the rims, stock is 235/45/17, that means you would need to get 265/25/20 tires.
use this calculator to figure out what you'll need:

I didn't need to roll my fenders, but I had to trim the A-spec kit in the rear. Better breaks are also needed pretty soon also

Lembowski, can you save me the trouble of a search and show me a pic of your whip with 20's on it? If you have a "facing" shot and a "behind" shot, that will be good. I want to see what they really look like with this size of a rim.

Yeah.......like I stated before, I have to take some pics. TL is dusty and the weather in Jerzey has been a little nippy............this week she'll be detailed and man Touge (06 RL) will be taken pics this week cold or not cold it will be then. Theres so many cars that I want........that I can't choose, I'm now considering the 06 LS430 but by spring/summer time I will have something. Darksom1 TL is looking good.........if I don't have any bites on my TL, I will be parting out everything.......so stay tune.

If you're running 35mm or 38mm offset running between a 20x8.5 thru 20x10.......you have to either roll or shave the lip and if you have a Aspec Kit you have the alter the rear section where the mud guards would be installed.

Im also in the shoes as the OP. I want 20s on my 06 TL 5AT but I don't want to rub at all even if that means I shouldn't lower it after all and I don't want the wheels sticking out way too much. What rim and tire combo would you recomend?

my offset is high 42+ since you have a automatic you dont have to worry about clearing the calipers. Believe me my car does not rub at all even with the wheels turned no rub. Now on the 6speeds they have bigger calipers so they cant use as high a offset so I don't know.

I was looking at maya DTS's and jeeeez they are $1,340 a piece, I knew they were top end but not at the very top But now I'm looking at RonJon's, can anyone recommend some 20" deep dish black and chrome lip wheels (6spd mt)? Tried the calculator but it doesn't seem to work with my browser or something
