^That's a hot lens. The f/1.8 version is quite nice too and much cheaper.

^those pics are nice
The 1.8G lens is a very good contender compared to the 1.4G. Performance wise, most paople only need the 1.8
The 1.4 lens will shine in low-light areas because of the wider aperature, but how often are you going to use that extra f-stop to justify the $1000-$1200 price difference?
Italiano, put that camera in Manual mode and let that lens "Do Work"

Guys need your help...selling gts 2 day and ran across a sexy mint 2002 TL type -s....NBP
The good: It is really clean inside and out....tinted windows etc...The bad: It has 248k miles...Transmission was replaced at 202k miles...one fog light cracked and trunk lid has a dent in it....Price $4200....is it worth getting as a second car?

about the car, once the tranny is rebuild you are opening a whole new can of worms....it can happen that you wont have a single issue and at the same time, you could notice another tranny failure....
other than that, i would try to negotiate down to 3200-3500 range just because....i wudnt worry much about the fog light and the trunk lip as they are easily replaceable....

Chris, just as a frame of reference, a buddy of mine traded in his NON mint 02 type S with 176K. Guess how much they gave him!??! Fkn $800.
In addition, your car is gorgeous, brother...gorgeous. Do you really think you'll drive the 02 when you have a pimped out 3G sitting at home?
Your TL is a practical car. Your 2nd car (unless this purchase is for wifey and kids) should be a fun one that is RWD and has some more power.

I have two TL's. My 99 I drive basically daily to work, but my 3G TL I drive on nice days, weekends, trips, or whenever I choose to.
To keep the story short, my 99 was paid off for two years before I bought the 3G. Picked up the 3G and decided it wasnt worth it to sell my 99 if it was still running good. Have owned the 99 TL for 10 years now and im kinda attached to it (Not worth the $2000 people are offering me).
Now, in your case, I wouldnt purchase an older car just to have a daily. If your car is running fine then keep driving it. Save that money instead.
Maybe a coupe sports car or somthing more sporty.

Yea, Chris...I know it's a Type S, but it's a 2nd Gen. Stay with what you've got.

J got a warning for posting strap ons in his thread, I suggest that you keep any pictures of your "toys" to yourself.
