Angry Does Adapter Spacer Cause Vibration?

Hi every one, I am thinking going to get wheel adapter spacers for my 05 TL. However, I heart that they may cause rim or steeling wheel vibration during high speed driving. Is that true?

I have it and I don't have any vibrations. I even went to the track with the wheel spacers.

ive heard that they can easily give a car vibrations because of the tolerances that they are put to. they also rec to not go as fast with them on.

Any luck with your wheel adapters yet? Would like to know how they handle.

make sure the spacers you get are hub-centric.

Those spacers sit on your hub and wheels sit on them.

I have heard you need longer stud with spacers. Good luck.

Yes, spacers CAN cause vibrations. Also, using spacers is not an "approved" method by the manufacturer. Some are better than others. All can break. As others have pointed out, the lugs can also be different crating "unusual" stress on the wheel itself. The lugs being longer are more prone to breakage, etc. If you have suspension problems, the dealer can (rightly) say, no warranty work on your wheels, suspension, etc. If you get in an accident and the spacers contributed, your insurance company can deny coverage and stick you with a totaled car. In short, the use of spacers is not "wise".
