Difference between Tein Super street and Tein Street Advance
Hi everyone,
I have been getting a bunch of mixed responses regarding these two coilovers. I am aware that the Tein Super street are no longer made and that the Street Advance are the latest version, but on a number of websites selling both coilovers, the super street are typically more expensive. Does that mean the super street are better?

I have the Tein Super Street that I bought used. Still playing with the settings, car handles awesome but rides a little rough. Especially if you have horrible interstates like where I live

Yeah i was planning on getting the super streets this weekend but i found out about the street advance and now I'm not sure which to go for. I live in Toronto, roads are not too great up here either. Im sure you can adjust the dampening to deal with the roughness

Street Advance is the new and improved Super Street, best thing is, they're cheaper and offer more adjustment. 200% more adjustment to be exact.

i have been looking at a lot of suspensions myself over the last few weeks and am amazed at how many different/varied responces for each brand there is (good & bad).
from what I gather, the advance has a little shorter bodied strut which is the biggest attraction for me. if it were a racing application ground control and koni yellows without a question, but I do not plan on running this car at all. I want to be able to lower it and still have it ride well and koni yellows generally have the same length strut body as stock struts...unless someone can confirm otherwise. I like retaining the shock travel with the shorter bodied strut setups.
I have to admit, this car doenst ride as well as I thought it would. type s suspension definatly has a sporty feel to it. I dont think it will be hard to match it with the teins. Plus, tein is pretty easy to deal with customer service wise. I sold thier products for 4-5 years and cant recall any hassles, even when we ordered crap wrong, lol. from what Im seeing, that doesnt seem to have changed.
I can get k-sports for the best deal, but there seems to be more bad reviews than good. not interested in Megan stuff and companies like KYB, B&G, and numorous others, that offer "racing products" but wont honor thier warranty if you actually race on thier racing products. which I find to be absolute bullshit.
still on fence though. glad you made this thread. Ill be following it.
