Diamondback TR968 Tires? NO BS!
I was very surprised when I did a search for information on this tire and found NOTHING on this site! I am sure many people will say they are shit just because they never heard of them... but many said that about the General Exclaim UHP when it came out and it turned out to be a good tire for the money. General tire knows it too because they inflated the price on them not to long ago. Please give information ONLY if you actually know something about them. Thanks guys!!!

allergic to wintertime
I know I'm bringing back an old thread, but I found this while I was looking for other things, and in case anyone is interested, I do have these tires. I have had them for about 10,000 miles now. I will say my motivation in buying them was: I wanted inexpensive all season tires that looked reasonably good and had a decent shot of lasting a while. I paid 115 each for 245/40/18 at the store where I purchased my wheels. They look really nice, pretty aggressive (unlike the Turanzas), on my 18X8's. After 10,000 miles I have 8/32 left. My original Turanza's were not looking very good after about 15,000 miles. The TR968s have been alright for me. My biggest gripe would be they have been kind of noisy lately...probably a little excessive but again noise was not one of my criteria. I can't vouch for them as performance tires. I really don't drive that aggressively. I can say they perform pretty well in the rain which is important to me. Hope this helps.

TR968 is a BAD tire
These tires are horrible. Do not buy them no matter how cheap they are. My car sways back and forth when going down the road, it feels like the tires are flat. Handling, HA! What handling. When going around a corner the tires are screaming for their lives. Swaying alone should keep you away from these tires but add on top of that the inability to go around a corner with any speed and excessive road noise gives you a huge reason to stay away. I cannot stress enough how bad these tires are!
I hope this helps people to make a wise decision in the future

I was thinking what a coincidence something went wrong like a tie rod or ball joint at the same time I put on the tr968's so I jacked it up and checked. My suspension was perfect. It really was just the tires.

Have had these for about 15k miles, at my last oil changed, had 7/32nds remaining, I drive kind of hard, car is dropped about 2 inches, they handle OK, nothing I wouldn AutoX with, but good enough for agreesive road driving(not racing) and they hook up OK at the track, but I dont make enough power for them to scream off the line at a nicely prepared drag strip.
