Correct PSI for my setup?
What would the correct PSI be for 245/40/18 toyo proxes 4 on ronjon 18x8.5 rims? I assume it's different than factory but I am not sure where to look or what to trust.

I just put on the 18" A-Spec wheels with 245/40/18 Michelin Piolet Sport PS2s. My wheels came with an replacement "tire information sticker" to put on the door sill that reads 39psi front and 36psi rear. That sticker is for the stock 18" 235s, so that could make a difference. I went with 39/36. Hope this helps.

dmartin33, do you have the manual trans then? The AT and MT have different PSI setups :[ I am really confused, no one seems to know what PSI is right for my new tires.

No, I have an AT. I'm confused too. Got the rims from the dealer and the stickers were in the boxes. Don't know why the transmission would make a difference in PSI. ???

Understand. So, would you think the 39PSI front on the factory "tire and loading information" label would be for a MT or AT? Remember also that the label is for the 235s not 245s.

I checked the pressure that the shop installed the tires at and it was about 45 in the rear and 41 in the front.
To me that seemed very high (tire says 50 is max) so I took all 4 down to 39 psi. Now the car feels softer and maybe too soft when accelerating, etc. I dont know, I'm afraid I am going to cause uneven wear with all this guessing. Next thing to try is making all 4 around 41 psi and trying that.

Yeah I know it will snow here but I don't think I need to take special precautions. I grew up driving an old Civic through 1.5 foot mountain snows.
