Continental Extreme Contact DWS ?

Drifting
If you are referring to the ContiExtremeContact tires, I had those tires earlier on my Grand Prix GTP.
Other than the ugly sidewalls, I actually loved those tires. They seemed to have slightly less steering response than the Bridgestone Potenza RE960-AS Pole Positions I have on all my cars at the moment, but I was still able to take corners at the same speed.
I was most impressed with it's snow traction. When I first got them, even when I slammed on the brakes on several inches of snow in our cul-de-sac, the tires did not lock up. Likewise, I was able to ascend our hill without issues when it there was 8" of snow covered glare ice. (Altho our TL managed the same feat when I got the RE960-AS, tho I think the Contis still edges them out in terms of snow/ice traction)
I got a shade over 30,000 miles out of the contis, and took them through another snow storm, when the tires were near the end of their life, but still managed fine, while my wife driving the TL with the stock tires (with way more tread left) got stuck on our snow covered hill.
You may get more miles out of em', I tend to have a lead foot, and have been known to smoke the tires when I get pissy. All around, I think it's a great tire. Never had issues with hydroplaning, wet traction, dry traction, flat spotting, etc.

I just bought these tires. I had the contiextremes before and I liked those. The DWS do have better grip. And they have a noticeably softer ride. With that I don't think that the sidewalls are as stiff as the other tires cause the car feels a little more bouncy around turns and like it wants to roll a bit more. They were at 32 psi from the shop. So I put more air in them up to 42 psi(51psi max) and the handling improved a little. I am a spirited driver so I look foward to finding out how long the 540 treadwear lasts. And for some reason I can't get my meguire's tire shine gel to stick to the tire. Maybe if I scrub them down it will stick. The sidewall isn't much to look at, but the tread pattern is truly badass looking.
I am going on a 500 mile road trip at the end of the month so we'll see how well I do with the gas mileage.
And don't forget to buy before the end of the month so you can get a free Tom Tom. I already have one, but I can still sell it. Keep your eyes peeled for it in the black market.
