Continental contipro tires

I have a 06 TL M/T and looking for new tires - about 40k on my original set of Bridgestones. Has anyone had recent experience with the Continental ContiPro contract tire. Older threads indicate complaints about them but nothing more recent has been posted. My buddy has a new Mercedes c300 where these are OEM and they seem to ride very well and seem quiet - but that car is brand new also. Any comments on this tire or recommended alternatives is appreciated.

Got to be careful when speaking of just the Pro Contact as in the OE size of 235/45-17, they are available in various speed ratings, load ratings, tread wear ratings, low rolling resistance and Run Flat designs. RFT's are not to be installed on non flat equipped cars. Most any tire you would find as a suitable replacement on the TL, unless you require a specific requirement e.g. handling, specific weather conditions, noise etc. My recommendation is to look at the 245/45-17 size and choice from an A/S.
