Contemplating picking up these 255/40-17 Nitto Motivos for $512 shipped

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI...ht_1726wt_1139

Seem to have everything I need for Ohio weather. I currently still have my Blizzak snow tires and don't really have any complaints about them aside from them being a little on the loud side (what do I know? I haven't had any other tires on the car).

They are $612 shipped with a $100 mail in rebate making them $512 total. Seems too good of a deal to pass up.

Looking for performance, quietness, and just an all around good ride. They are also backed by a 60,000 mile warranty which is awesome.

Thoughts?

they are a new tire.

not many....CORRECTION....NO ONE HAS THEm.

if, in your research you are OKAY with these ALL SEASON UHP tire at $512, then go ahead and get them.

I have the Nitto NT05.
In my research on the motivos, I found that Nitto took technology from their summer tires(read: NT05) and passed it along to this tire, the motivos.
Although, being an all season tire...performance is sacrificed and the NT05 is still the reigning champ.
the article I read: http://www.motortrend.com/features/c...ivo_tire_test/ had great things to say about the Motivos.

tread life should be more than okay at a rating of 560/a/a

I would have settled on the NT05s but I want some cushion from the fall to winter transition so I don't have to worry about changing to my Blizzaks before the first snow. I live in Ohio so it's very unpredictable

If they perform well, are quiet, and have good tread life - I will be more than happy.

I went ahead and purchased earlier. I'll post up a review when I get a chance.

As for the rating that you gave me (560/a/a), what exactly does that indicate? I have read somewhere that there is a rating that is tagged on tires that you can tell whether or not your fuel mileage is going to be affected. Is this correct?

I took advantage of their $100 rebate last month for my RE 970's. They will send you a visa debit card within a couple of weeks.

Usually the higher the number the better the wear but not as stickie.. Myself and my driving habits I don't need the stickie part.

I just installed the NT850s which have the same wear rating with just a little different tread pattern.

$367.99 shipped for 225/45/17
