Comptech RSB sway bar bushings replacements

Ive spent abt 3hours reading multiple posts regarding which bushings to use. Running the comptech 22mm RSB. has anyone found an oem or non poly replacement? I really wanna stay away from Prothane/Energy suspension due to the multiple issues people have had with broken welds at on the frame. Ive read a post where the front bushing of 2001 CL is 22mm. Has anyone been able to cross reference a replacement other than the ES 9.5126? thx for the input

CL Bushings are not 22mm.

27.2mm front; 18mm (19mm Type-S) rear.

For the front, a google search for the part number indicates this as well.

Edit: You could contact CompTech (http://www.ct-engineering.com/Contac...9/Default.aspx) and see if they'd sell you a set of bushing or provide you with their source.

I did figure i could just call ct, but they r closed today.
Was trying to find something today since im off
I just figured they must be using oem honda/acura bushings from another car since it reuses the bracket

No luck w ct since they were closed today
I did find 2 substitutes which i think would work perfect
Moog #90397 22mm from a 1967-1973 ford mustang
Moog #8791 7/8" from 92-96 f150

Both of these come with its own bracket which in size/length is very close to the oem bracket and the material of the bushing i would say is in between the oem rubber and polyurethane..not as hard as poly. Im really trying to stay away from es type bushings due to the horrid stories abt broken mounts.

I'm not sure the ES bushing were "for sure" the cause of those problems; most had them but some did not, iirc.

I had ES bushings on my 24mm Progress RSB for a while (red, greasable type). It seemed to me that the ES bushing were bulkier/meatier and firmer than the Progress supplied bushings. The Progress supplied bushing ARE polyurethane (of some kind), just not quite as stout or as stiff/hard.

Not sure if that helps or not, but thought I'd mention it.

When I installed my RSB I installed the ES bushings at the same time. After seeing some of the threads on broken mounting point welds, I began to think that perhaps more "energy" was being transferred to that mounting point than would normally occur with the stock (soft rubber) bushings thus exposing the weld as a "weak link" in the chain. It's a pet theory; I have no idea if it's valid or not.

I did know that I didn't need that kind of trouble though, so I took the ES bushings out and replaced them with the Progress supplied bushings.

As a side benefit I also lost a squeak. I didn't realize that noise was from the ES bushings until I swapped them out though.

Finally spoke w CT. Their bushings are just oem bored out to 22mm. Im actually gonna opt out for the moogs #k90397 these are 22mm n come with the smaller bracket very similar to the progress. Reason for going with these? Imo are more stout than the oem material but not as hard as the poly ones. Will report if any issues/squeaks come up

The Progress RSB package (and I think the CompTech one as well) comes with a tube of grease for the bushings. Pretty sure it's just a white lithium grease. When you put in your new bushings, don't forget to grease them up.
