Comptech RSB discontinued?

Hey guys,

I ordered the Comptech rear sway bar from Excelerateperformance.com but was given a refund because they say that it has been discontinued by Comptech (now known as CT Engineering). It is only available for the 99-03 now.

Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks.

Didn't know that but I'd look at it as a sign that the Progress RSB is the way to go!

The bar has been discontinued. It came straight from the mouth of one of the owners of CT-E. Honestly, the Progress 24mm adjustable rear sway bar is an excellent alternative. If you want something similar to the CT-E you'd want the Eibach sway bar set, but that includes a front and rear bar.

I have been thinking of getting a eibach set.... is it that much of a noticeable difference on a type s? I went through the canyons the other weekend and my car felt like a boat even being lowered

Adjust your Megans - tune 'em in for "Canyon Runs".

And get an RSB. But get the Progress 24mm. The TL-S already has a (somewhat) stiffer FSB, that, IMHO, can be matched to the Progress RSB pretty well.

Agreed.

The Comptech was a great bar for the 5at and it's smaller and hollow fsb. For the manuals and Type S, Progress is the way to go.

Do any of the vendors carry the H&R set? I'm only running the front H&R bar but it's a very aggressive bar. I kind of want to see how the 22mm H&R bar compares to the 24mm Progress. The H&R bar is much stiffer than it's size would indicate. That might be of interest to those looking to save weight.

And scratch what I said about the Eibach set; it is only for the 2nd gen CL/TL. The H&R setup is a great setup for those who want to do a front and rear sway bar or just a firmer rear sway bar that isn't as aggressive as the Progress bar.

And yes we carry these.
