Just my personal opinion, I can never find 18 inch rim that are comfortable. It could be just me. Don't get me wrong, the 18s do look nice. 16s are great but of course, they dont look as nice. So last year, I end up getting 4 17s with 4 new Yoko AdvanS4s. Still, the 16s were a lot comforable to me, but don't look as nice.

I went to the Kuhmos Ecsta ASX from a Nankang performance tire and the ride is actually the best I have had out of all the 18's I have had and even better than the 17" winters I run.

I'm debating a mild drop as well on my TL-S.....Eibach Pro-Kit, Comptech or similar....I don't want to sacrifice any ride quality, I only want to lower it an inch at most. I gotta think about Winters here as I don't want to turn my car into a snowplow!

Kevin1, I see that you are from kansas city...nice to see another person from there. I went to KC trends the other day and didn't see much...I'm also in the rim looking stage and it sucks because I always tend to change my mind when I decide on one. So have you done any other mods to ur ride?

If you gonna spend the loot. Go with 19's...

Plus If I recall (its been a while since I been up to KC area) but the roads arent bad, so you shouldnt have problem with ride quality.

Quality really depends more on the drop that you have, and the rubberbands you got on the rims

Hey for you guys in Missouri, I'll be moving to near Springfield this summer. Where is there a good Acura dealer in that area. I assume St Louis or KC?

Hey, it's GREAT to see some KC (and surrounding areas) constituents on these posts. I too, am from Kansas City (born and raised). I went to Jay Wolfe Acura at 103rd and State Line and had a very good experience. You might try Weld Tire and Wheel for new rims.

Weld Tire & Wheel should be in downtown KC. Guys, I bought my Type S from Jay Wolfe and still go there for service. I've always had a good experience everytime I go there for anything service related. Has anyone been to both Jay Wolfe and Superior Acura and decided they liked one better than the other for service? Which one is better....in your opinion???? I like the Jay Wolfe "oil changes for life" option. That's one of the reasons I bought there.

I take mine to Jay Wolfe for the lifetime oil changes and any warranty work. I've been pretty happy with them. When I had my Legend Coupe I went to Superior Acura, and when I had my GS300 I went to Superior Lexus at first. I'd say the experience with Jay Wolfe has been better. For non-warranty work you might check out Exact Performance. They specialize in Acura, Lexus and Infiniti.

Wheels are 18x8.5 front and 18x9 rear. I'm going to run 245/40/18 in the front and 255/40/18 in the rear, so they'll be just a little taller than stock. Going to need to roll the rear fenders.

Hey, nice to see some KC guys coming out of the woodwork. I don't exactly mean to hi-jack this thread, but do any of you recommend a particular tint place in the area? I don't want some shoddy installer to mess up my doors installing tint. Thanks.

Guys, here in Kansas City, I went to a place called PDI. Their website is www.pdiclearbra.com. I did 20% all around (which is illegal in Johnson County). Legal is 35% on the Kansas side and on the Missouri side, you can do 35% on the front windows and anything you want on the rear windows and back window. Anyway, I paid $150 cash and it has a lifetime warranty. I'd highly recommend them. If you'd like to see pics, my post from yesterday has good ones at https://acurazine.com/forums/ramblings-12/wasps-176033/.

Have u ever gone into their new store location in Overland Park on east 135 street.? Bigger,than the Shawnee location;check them out...I am not really doing awhole lot to the TL just;

1: Rims
2: Tinted windows
3: Drop
4: Intake
5: Body kit

My girl-freind drive the car daily so that should be enough....I am just waiting for her to go over sea for 3 wks..and more likely we will give the TL too our daughter in 3 more years when she is old enough to drive.....

If you were talking about PDI, their new location is on 113th and Strang Line Road in Olathe. They were in western Shawnee, but recently moved. They really did an excellent job. See their website at www.pdiclearbra.com and ask for Eric.

Yes, I put it on H&R sport springs. The shocks have a lot of milage, about 69k with no problems so far. I am going to invest in Koni Yellows hopefully in the next (3-4 months) 15-25k. I can adjust it and dial the car in. The car has all highway miles, not city stop and go so they are holding up well.
