color matching rims

i ordered my wheels & they come in either hyper silver or hyper black. i picked HB. they are already painted & have a clear coat. i heard powder coating will leave a jagged line around the polished lip, & since they are already painted and I really wanted black spokes, i may as well paint them NBP. can i just tape off the lip & spray over the hyper black with Duplicolor touch up spray & clear coat??

yeah man, what are you thinking.. hyperblack is my favorite rim color. It looks PERFECT on your ride. Leave it the way it is and if you get bored of the color in a year, go have them powder coated black.

thanks. Everybody advised me to leave them alone, so I will. I was going for a total blackout but I left the lights clear. I bit the bullet buying these rims because i couldn't find anything i liked in black for my budget & i was being too picky. I think it all worked out better than I imagined. I won't change anything.
thanks again

I had black on black with my MDX, and everywhere you turn someone else has black on black...not to knock anyone on here that has that setup, but I think it is kind of flooded the market...Leave the wheels the way they are...They look great now!
