With your budget you're looking at a spring setup, or a very used coil setup.

Depends on how much lower you want to go though, springs offer about -1.5" drop (Tein S-Tech or H&R), a coilover setup will go much lower.

Speaking of HT (Heeltoe) he has a black Friday deal going on, 10% off and free shipping.

there are about a billion threads on this topic.

in short, springs are cheaper but can wear out your OEM shocks faster and after installed, if you don't like the height...tough shit because you can't adjust it.

coils are more expensive, but you can dial in the height and damper(comfort level) to your precise liking.

which one should you do? totally up to you. which one do most people choose? coilovers.

in fact, a lot of people buy springs, install them, hate the look, uninstall them and sell them, then purchase coilovers.

^coilovers vary in price but you're looking at $600-$1100 NEW, they can be had slightly cheaper used on the black market.

you won't find a spring that'll drop 2.5"

i would just save up and get coils. keep your eye on the black market for used sets.

+1, just keep saving up till you can get what you want. If you rush into buying a used set or even springs for that matter, you won't be completely happy.

I was in the same situation as you and was looking at H&R sport and race springs which were around $300. I ended up with coilovers though, i decided to just invest the money for a better product and the ability to adjust height and got the Tein Street Basis, im sitting about flush with the tire on stock 17's with a 45 profile tire. You can see the picture partially in my profile pic, so you can judge :p

Cheap and TL don't mesh well together.

You may find an affordable part here and there but then they add up to that wasn't cheap at all.

If you want a quick fix buy used springs. Then save up for coilovers.

Or just wait for coils.

I went step with the first one.
