clueless on offsets

Okay guys I have found some wheels that I really love but I am unsure if they will fit or not on a six speed. Thay are gram light 57f bronze 18x8.5 with a offset of 45. Now to be honest I am clueless when it comes to offsets on wheels. Does anyone know if these will fit.

I think you're gonna need a 35mm offset... cause of that little lip on the wheel..

Good Luck... best thing to do is TEST FIT..

"The offset of a wheel is the distance from the mounting surface of the wheel to the true centerline of the rim. A positive offset means the mounting surface of the wheel is positioned in front of the true centerline of the rim / tire assembly. This in effect brings the tire in to the fender well more. Conversely, a negative offset means the mounting surface of the wheel is behind the true centerline of the rim / tire assembly. This will cause the tire to stick out away from the vehicle."

those wheels fit perfect...

on an 8.5 wheel you want to stay in between +35 and 45
with an 8 wheel you want to stay in between +32 and +45

Brembo fitments depend on the style of the wheel. Some may, some may not with those stated offsets.

Rodney - I think you got it backwards. The further in the offset, the larger the lip can be and still remain tucked under the wheel well. +45's are further in. The +35's would be further out. Further out/away yeilds less room for any "lip".
