Camber worn tires

When I bought my TL a month ago, it was slammed. I have since raised it back up to an acceptable height and replaced 2 tires that were down to the belts from camber wear. The other 2, on the rear, are worn, but didn't need replacing immediately.

Since they are worn from a lot of negative camber and now there is much less, is it worth it to keep driving on them and is my ride quality being affected by this?

did you get an alignment after you raised the car?

any time you mess with suspension geometry, it needs to get aligned.
when at the alignment shop, camber cannot be adjusted (unless previous owner put a camber kit on)
if no camber kit, the alignment tech needs to get toe to 0.

Yeah, got it aligned and have unlimited alignments for about 5 more months if I want to raise it more. It has a camber kit on the rear.

do you happen to have the alignment print out.
as stated, toe should be set to 0.
and the tech probably used the camber kit to get the rears in spec.

if you show us the alignment sheet, we can tell you if your tires are going to wear funny again or not

I don't have the sheet.

I'm not as worried about the new ones wearing funny, but how my ride quality is being affected by the camber worn tires. Since they are worn at an angle and the suspension isn't as low, doesn't that mean the tires are trying to ride at an angle when the suspension wants them to be more flat? Does that make any sense?

oh, i should have read your first post more carefully.

as long as the tire isnt showing chord, its safe to drive on.
so, if you have funny camber wear and now correct that camber, your tires will be using a different patch of contact than it was previously.
it would result in a discomforting ride. i suspect it would be bumpy and trying to steer the vehicle towards the worn part of the tire.
if you are okay with that...keep riding on the tire till you absolutely need to replace it.

replace the tire, if you dont want to deal with it any more
