Buying additional dealer wheels/tires

When you purchase the TL, you are paying for the 17" stock wheels/tires. Now, what if you want the 18" wheels/tires instead of the 17" stock wheels. They cost approximately 1800.00. Does the dealer deduct the price of the standard 17" wheels/tires
from the purchase price of the 18s? If they don't, do you keep the standard wheels/tires and pay full price for the 18"?

It seems the only way to charge full price for the 18" wheels/tires is if you buy them in addition to the stock wheels/tires, thus having two sets of wheels/tires. Please explain if I have this wrong.

The dealer will charge you for both sets and keep one if you let them. I discussed this with my local dealer. I simply told him that if I pay for both I get both and that's final. He back-peddled at this and lost my business. Some here have gotten credit, some have gotten both sets and some have been ripped-off. It's up to you to watch out for yourself. Buyer beware. In my case, I bought the car with the 17's and then purchased the 18's later at a cheaper price.
