Busted the tire...what can I do?

A nail punctured my TL's tire and it's unfixable. Should I buy new set of tires? I don’t want to spend that kinda of money since each tire is appox. $220 (Bridgestone Turanza). What is the best way out? They have about 70%-80% of the thread left.

To add insult to the injury, I dropped my wheel and scratched and chipped it at multiple places. Is there a way to fix the wheel?

Get one replacement tire and place it in the rear of the car with its matching twin. You can get the wheel fixed using one of those mobile wheel repair services. Contact your dealer for a good recommendation.

yeah. I guess I will get the tire from ebay with 70-80% thread so they match the rest. Are you aware of any good places to get the wheels fixed in the bay area?

Thanks.

I think what Lore is saying is that you don't need a tire with the same amount of tread, just make sure the replacement tire is in the back with the partner of the blown tire. It's not how much tread is left, it's the wear patterns you need to be concerned with. Someone correct me if I'm wrong please.

Give Chris Earls a call:
(209) 631-6733

Leave him a message and he'll give you a ring back. He and his business partner owns a mobile wheel repair company and do a lot of the Acura dealerships in the Bay Area.
