Another Offset Rubbing Question (Newbie)

Hi all, I tried to reasearch this thoroughly but found mainly info regarding people running 18's. I have a set of OZ Antares 17x7 rims with a .45 offset. I recently dropped my car with a set of H&R Sport Springs which gave my 03 TL-S about a 1.75 inch drop. My question is, If I go with with the stock tire size of 215/50/17 's will I have a problem with rubbing? I currently have a set of 235/45/17's (which I was using prior to the drop) which now rub if I have one person in the back and hit a dip in the road? Any help you all can provide would be greatly appreciated!!

With the current rim width and offset, the wheel sticks out an extra 16 mm compared to the stock setup.

With the 235 tires, that's an extra 20 mm width compared to the stock tire. This isn't exact science, but split it, and you have 10 mm of extra tire on each side.

Considering that it was already sticking out 16 mm due to the wheel set up, your current set up is about 26 mm wider on the outer side than the stock setup.

Going back to 215, it would only stick out about 16 mm. With that setup, I don't think it would rub. It shouldn't. There's room in the wheel-well for an extra 16 mm.

From: where the weather suits my clothes
Tire width difference (inches): -0.79
Tire & Wheel Inboard increase (inches): -0.395
Tire & Wheel Outboard increase (inches): -0.395

Sounds like it will help a lot. 3/4" difference between 235s and 215s

Do you see where it's rubbing?

It's rubbing on the outboardside on both the front and back, (I can feel the rubber shavings on the inside of the wheel-well). Mind you this only happens when I have someone in the back seat, but I'd hate to see what happens when I have a full load. Thanks so much for your help!
