Brand & Type of Tires on Stock wheels?

I'm thinking about just putting some new tires on my stock wheels instead of getting rims this summer. My stock tires are really sucky. :p who doesn't know that already

Anyways...I'm gonna replace my stocks with 225/55/16 tires..Looking for all-season ones..what brand & tire do u guys recommend?

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S gets great reviews, although they are kinda pricy.
Why change your plans? I thought you were really hot on those Manarays? Might as well invest in some good wheels and tires so you can enjoy them during the summer....then throw on the stockers for winter.

I'm kinda poor right now with the new restaurant opening up and all. I figure if I can get some A/S tires on my stocks I can still use em for the winter should I get the Manarays later on in a few months if the restaurant is doing good.

So I have to stay low budget for now. I read the Michelin Pilot reviews..but I don't wanna spend that much for a tire. Something good but not that pricey. Maybe upto $150 per tire.

Get the new rims boy! At least some 17s. Why paid more for the tires and you still have to pay more to mount them on. Just get a new wheel package.

Because I'm feeling nice Joey, here you go....

Bridgestone Potenza RE950. Tim's got 'em for $101.64 per tire!! These are considered High Performance All-Season HR Rated. Wear Rating - 400 :wow:
And they look pretty good too! So what'cha think 'bout that?!

BF Goodrich g-Force T/A KDWS it's has a WR speed rating and is a Ultra High Perf A/S Tire...low stock though...i'm wondering if i should order it...

Yeah..spec-wise those rock. They'll give you much better performance than the RE's. But I like the thread pattern on those Bridgestones. Well can't always go for looks huh.

actually .. I picked up a set of yokohama AVS dbs .. I think someone else, gomez maybe? , was pushing them and I wanted some 'quiet ride' so I went after them. I pored over tirerack REPEATEDLY and I ended up with these for price/performance/ride tradeoffs. and oh yea, I was looking for decent wet traction too altho I gave up some of that for the 'quiet ride' On paper, it seemed like the one for me. Edging out over the dunlops and bridgestones at a similar price. I looked at the RE730 bridgestones that everyone seems to like too but the yokos seemed to call to me. They're getting installed now .. and I got charged 15 to balance EACH tire.. ^^;; I'll tell you how it turns out.

cool, keep me updated guys...spec wise...the BFgoodrich has everything i'm looking for including snow traction and quiet ride..although it's not one of the best looking treads patterns.

I'll get something more peformance and looks when i look for tires for my new rims in a few months..these bf are gonna replace my stocks for winter/spring/fall use..

Thumbs up

Just mounted & balanced the tires on the stock rims...man...the tires handle so awesome...

it's raining outside..so i got a first taste of how it handles in the rain...very good on the corners and stop and go...you can feel the road alittlbe bit more now...but it's also alot quieter then the stocks...definitely better then the stock tires in all aspects.
