Brakes Overhaul
I have a 2006 TL. It's stock. I've done no customizations.
About a year ago, I heard grinding when I hit the brakes. Went to the local brake shop and found that my rotors were beyond turning. So I had them replace the rotors and pads. A few months later I would *occasionally* get a violent vibration coming from the back wheels at highway speeds (no braking). Long story short, I found out my calipers rear calipers were sticking, my rear pads were almost gone and the pad surfaces were white. So...I had them replace the calipers and pads. Problem solved.
Except, they look like crap. A year into it, the calipers are oxidized, the rotors are oxidized. Ugly.
Now for the front brakes. No violent vibrations, but sometimes I get a significant steering wheel and brake pedal vibration when braking at highway speeds. Sounds like rotors to me.
Here's my question. I'm not comfortable doing this myself. The dealer wants $1400 to replace rotors on both axles, pads on both axles and real calipers.
What are my alternatives? Can I buy from a .com site have a local shop install them? I've done rotors and pads before, but am NOT comfortable doing calipers.
I'm not looking for drilled rotors, but I do want it to look and perform well. Silver, grey or black calipers would work as well.
Any and all feedback is welcome. Thanks!!

It sounds like your rotors are warped. There is no reason to replace your calipers. You can just have them painted while they are on the vehicle. For a rotor/pad upgrade I'd recommend our brake package.
