Brakes
Guys
I hope this doesn't come off as a dumb question but...Does the TL eventually need to have rear brake pads replaced as well as the front?
I know the TL is a FWD but I got new brakes and pads in the front but it feels weak...I even went back to get the brake fluid flushed and my braking still feels weak...any thoughts?

Most go thru 2 sets of front pads and then the rears are due
Rotors are subject to wear from a number of issues and may need to be replaced as well.
New brakes take a while to get bedded in and reach full performance.
Did the tech say the condition of the rear pads was good?
When the brake fluid was changed your face is right there in the pads- kind of hard to miss
Also critical the TL brakes are bled in this special order= not like other cars
LF driver front then clockwise around then car LF RF RR LR

I am hoping that the technician at Paragon Acura bled the fluid right...I have ~25K miles on the car, and I bought it with 13K miles. The technician said my rear brakes were good enough to pass inspection at Acura of Brooklyn but after going to both those dealerships, I am no longer confident in their ability to deliver good service...I dunno

On the "weak" feeling brakes: did the rotors/discs get turned/machined?
If not, the pads need to be "bedded"- do a search for "brake bedding" if the other posters don't mention the process here; normal use of the brakes over several days of moderate use will also bed the brakes and should bring the brake feel to normal.
However, there have been a couple of posters who have had sticking caliper pins which affected the brake feel (and performance).
And yes, the rear brake pads will need to be replaced, but normally they wear at half the rate of the fronts. You might want to have a good mechanic or shop (other than the dealer shops) take a look.
