brake caliper painting or swap
didnt know where else to put this because it's more for looks than it is for actual braking performance. trivial point/question, but i don't know how else to put it.
i was next to a g35 today, and i noticed how nice their brake calipers looked while at speed. then, when i parked, i looked at mine.
i've not yet even looked, but would front calipers (mine are painted black and have acura stamped in them) fit on the rear?
barring that, what could i use to improve the looks of the rear caliper? is there brake caliper paint i could snag someplace?
the pot metal is corroding and fairly unattractive- i'd like to dress that up a bit.
thanks in advance for your input.

You have a manual transmission so you have the 4-piston Brembos up front that are painted black.
No you would not want to put those in the rear, there is no need. 75% of your braking (or more) is done by the front calipers so that is why you typically don't put large calipers in the rear. You seem to be want to do it only for looks. I guess you could paint your single piston calipers in the back black if that floats your boat. I wouldn't, but it's your car.
Btw: If that G35 driver were to look at your brakes while you're moving down the road they would look just as beefy as his.

just buy high-temp caliper paint. My reccomendation is G2.
You can get it here: http://www.decalgirl.com/browse.cfm/4,140.htm
Its pretty high quality, lasts, and looks great. I used it on my S2000, after 35,000 miles and plenty of hard driving and auto-x/track days it still looked great when I sold it.
You should also be able to get it at any decent performance/auto shops.

A suggestion I saw was to stop by an artist's supply store and get some small brushes. Apparently the one that comes with the kit is a bit large to get into the smaller areas. I am betting I will slightly disassemble the rear calipers to do the job. Just to the point of getting the pads out. Perhaps take the mounting bracket off too and paint it on the workbench. I REALLY HATE seeing cars that have paint all over the pads and caliper pin boots.

Adobeman....
When I did the S2, it really was not that bad. If you are careful, you wont have any problems. I was fine with the brush provided, but thats not a bad idea with the smaller brushes just incase!
