black 19"s for my 07tl-S ??
Ok guys I could really use some help here w/ suggestions of offsets and all that type of stuff that im not to sure about... so please bare w/ me for a minute and read on:
I will be taking delivery on oct 25 of a silver 2007 TLS.. I have decided on black finished rims from DPE RO7-s these wheels look amazing.. I really dont want to lower the vehicle.. what would look better on stock suspension? 18' or 19... meaning least wheel gap!! and what tire sizes would you recommend? i want to go as wide as possible in the rear!!! I may go w/ the A-spec suspension but unsure at this time.. Please guys give me your opinions... i really need reply's b/c im not too sure when i comes to the whole wheel set up!!
Thanks

I like gunmetal rims on a silver car, just my opinion~ and go 19' s with low profile tires, that will it'll look more dropped than it was at stock, since your not gonna drop :P

i wouldn't do a staggered setup because that will increase the torque steer and some ohter unwanted things since this is a FWD. I'd either go with 18x 9 rims or
19 x 8 or 19 x 10. As for the tires, it depend on what size rim you buy.

And if you don't care about pushing the handling of the car, staggered is ok. You lose the option of rotating your tires which sucks though.

Could 19x9 work all the way around? or would I be better off w/ say 19x8 and maybe a little bit wider tire or something? I know some of you guys have 20x9's on here correct?

If you get proper sized tires, the wheel gaps will be very similar between the stock 17, 18, or 19. However, the 19" will make the wheel gaps LOOK bigger than they actually are, because of the less sidewall. IMO, if you don't want to lower the car, I wouldn't go bigger than 18".
Also important: you need to decide if you want to lower the car or not before choosing the wheel offset and width. The lower the car is, the top end of the tires will be tucked into the fender more than stock height car. It's just because of the suspension range of movement.
If you will lower the car about 1-1.5", you can get 8" wide wheels (no matter 18" or 19" diameter) with around 30 offset. 8.5" wide with around 36 offset, 9" with about 42 offset. I wouldn't really go wider than 9" especially in the front, because it's tight there.
You can go with either 245/40 R18 or 245/35 R19, depending your wheel diameter.

Thanks 260HP..... What about the new A-spec suspension? does that lower the car any? sorry for all the noob questions.. but when i comes to wheels.. i just dont know a whole lot about it... and yes I do want to close up the wheel gap some.. but I dont like the slammed look.. I would want my wheel gap to just close up about an inch from the stock look.. if ya know what im saying... I actually really wont mind putting on the A-spec since its from acura.. so if it does lower it how by how much?

a-spec lowers it about .5 of an inch to .75 of an inch. It creates the perfect amount of wheel gab so it looks good. The a-spec will also give u that sport ride.

Plus, people who know the car is front wheel drive will think you're a poser.

i have a black 06 TL and i wanted to do the same thing....i was lookin into the aspec kit and the dealership said that there were a lot of problems with it after it was installed....they told me the tires would grid causing the tires to wear faster....i dunno how true this is for 07

I have an 06 manual TL with the A-SPEC suspension kit and 19" rims (35 series tires) and haven't had a single problem.

I don't know what the result would be with any larger wheel/tire size, but I have a manual 06 TL with the A-SPEC suspension and 235/35R19's. Performance is great and I have had no problems.
