Best tire size for 19s?

Hello there, I want to go with 19 in. wheels (19 X8.5) but I don't know what tire size to choose from. Does anybody out there can help me choose the best tire size. I want the look of the OEM tires (235-45-17) to look similar on the 19 in. wheels. Can anyone out there reccomend me a good and safe size tires that won't look too meaty. Also reccomend me some good summer tires brand. Please post some pics of the different tire sizes. Thanks!

You could do 235/35/19 or 245/35/19 for more protection.

Falken FK452 are nice.

Yeah, he's right those are the closest sizes. Check out the link below if you want to see the numbers. Also for summer try on some Eagle F1 -GSD3s.

I got 245/35/19 Pirelli PZero Nero on my 19" Axis Milano and no problems, even though I got winter wheels (never drive the 19"s in winter).

245/35/19 is the best size to go with. 235/35/19, which I am currently running, are a bit thin. Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 is HANDS DOWN the best summer tire around. But at 245/35/19, you are looking at over $300 a pop, hence my rolling on 235/35/19's!

245-35-19's here without any drop yet and they still look good. BTW, with low profile tires, I would DEFINITELY get the warranty. I've had 2 pinched tires so far.

I was thinking the same thing. I want maximum protection from these messed up NYC roads. Is there anyone running a slightly bigger tire than the 245/35/19?

I heard 50/50 commments on goodyears so i wasnt 100% about them.... but carbon fiber sidewalls are sick! I went with Pzeros instead. I hear great things about the Falken 912's so id say one of those 3 Im extremely happy with PZeros..... discounttire.com

tire profile and tire brand are two different things. can't compare tire profile to tire brand.

Is it really dangerous to drive with 245-35-19? What is the best and bad thing about driving with 245-35-19? Thanx!

Lol, actually Paul, most people here favor Falkens, and I've actually heard some bad things about Toyo tires from them. I can't seem to recall what exactly, though!
