This would be better answered in the Wash & Wax forum. To answer your question, there are numerous products on the market, I personally like Poorboys Spray & Rinse Wheel Cleaner and for tires, Poorboys APC. Then you'll need a tire dressing. Do a search on this one. Some like their tires shiny, while others favor a matte, glossy finish. Your choice.

I personally like the DuPont wheel cleaner with Teflon. Supposedly the formula is more gentle on the clearcoat than other products. I have a 6MT and it works well to clean off the dust. I also use the DuPont tire shine with Teflon and the gloss lasts about two weeks.

what I use has worked for me for yrs. I go to the car wash with the green engine cleaner.. and spray all my wheels with it. Then I start washing the car with regular soap.. at the end, I spray the wheels off. It makes a HUGE difference using it. Makes the rims look like new. I've been doing this for 10 yrs without any problems to the wheels ( I had 3 pc silver with polished lip).

I have found that the best wheel and tire cleaner is a pressure washer. All of the over the counter stuff isnt really strong enough to really remove the brake dust without some sort of agitation from a brush. But If you have a pressure washer- even windex works fine... lol

wax and protect your wheels as if you would wax your paint. this way, the dirt comes off so much easier.
