how much of a drop did you want?

Anything more than 1" is a bigass drop.
You're going to run into issues along the way. This car isn't designed to do that.
But anything beyond 1", you should probably use a full body coilover like D2 or similar. No idea what D2 is like these days. They were totally unusable years ago.
My recommendation is to use a smaller drop (between 0.5 and 1") and use Tein Street Advance Z.

The best coilovers made for this car are the bc racing around $1000 or the kw which are $1500.
if your on a budget the teins work but aren't as adjustable and don't go as low. The bc's will take you from almost stock height to tucking wheel no problem. You probably need camber kits at that point but no big deal. Never seen anyone using d2 but myself and a lot of others run bc and are happy you can even get custom spring rates from the factory. If you want I more opinions there's been a bunch of other threads like this created here over the years read up on some of those. I've never measured my drop but I eliminated wheel gap in the front and tuck a tiny bit of tire in the rear And all I have is the spc rear camber kit and rolled fenders and it rides and handles great especially with a progress rear sway bar.
