Bent wheels + tranny noise

Just got back from the tire shop to get the car aligned.

Mechanic took it for a drive around the block and when he got back to the garage he told me there was a slight whining noise coming from the transmission at ~40mph. He said it does not seem to be serious. I have never noticed the noise to be honest. I just did some research on the forum and it looks like several TLs make the same exact noise?

My tranny fluid was replaced at the Honda deal at 50k now I am at 60k.

I think I will go back and replace it again.

The mechanic also notice that the front 2 wheels were slightly bent.

I definitely could see it while he had the tires spinning.

He said it could create some vibration but that's about it.

I actually don't notice any, even on the interstate.

Is it safe to keep it as is especially since I am taking a fairly long road trip soon?

wheel bends can be small and not pose serious safety or vibration issues. I forget what my wheel shop said, but I believe it was something like .125 inch deviation from perfectly round before we feel the vibration. as long as the tires aren't losing air and you aren't feeling vibrations, drive on.

as for the transmission, it's probably just fine as long as you drain and refill the fluid at the required interval. since you did it 10K ago, you should be ok
