Bent Stock Rims

I have an 04 TL with 8k miles on it. I noticed some severe vibrations at 60mph and up. I took it to the dealer and they discovered that both rims on the right side were bent. The dealer informed me that they are not covered under warranty.

I was just curious if anyone else out there has had problem with bent rims?

Thanks

Lets start with some basics:

Have you hit any potholes?
Did the dealer show you the wheels on the balancer and did you see the wheel spinning unevenly? (wobbling)

If you hit any potholes, it is quite possible that you bent them. You'd have to hit them pretty hard. Also, I would take them to a tire shop and get them checked out. Its possible the dealer could be trying to get you to buy new wheels.

You don't have to hit them hard at all not with these POS wheels. I didn't hit any potholes and had 2 bent rims within 1500 miles. These are the worst designed wheels I have seen/had. The bad part is that I like Enkei as a manufacturer just not this wheel. Man I've had rotas that were better than these as they bend like aluminum cans.

I would like to buy some new rims however financial situations (saving for a wedding) will keep me from that for a bit.
