Bald Tires With A 6 Months Use!!!!

my tires are COMPLETELY BALD on the rear two tires and i bought my wheels/tires last may and the car didnt drive during the winter! I have dont really know how to get it fixed before I get new tires put on, because I do not want this happening AGAIN!! I read some threads about camber kits and alignments, but I have no idea what to do.. Will just a rear alignment work?

My wheels are 20 inch Sevas S-22: front wheels are 20/8.5, rear wheels are 20/10.

*rear wheels are the only ones going bald..

also where can I get 20/10 tires cheap?

Did the tires wear evenly across the face or more on the inside?

Did you get it aligned after the big rims and tires went on?
thats crucial to preserving new tires- espeically a change up to those rims will affect the alignment
Camber kits allow adjustment of the angle the tire sits in the vertical plane- the top of the tire moving in or out relative to the body of the car.
On really lowered cars- like 2 inch drop- they are very useful to get the camber back into spec- tires that ride at an angle to the road surface will wear out fast- and the car handles poorly in corners.
Alignments are done as 4 wheel thrust alignment- meaning the machine is looking for the wheels to be aligned with each other realative to the car-
Its the industry standard now- a regular front wheel only alignment is for the old beater cars from the last millenia- they didnt have the easy adjust ~toe~ that a TL does for the rear.
Toe is the in-out of the tire relative to going straight ahead

If the wear was more on one part of the tire- that can indicate camber- can you post a few pics?
How was the tire pressure?

Its your rear toe. Your rear tires are not facing straight as they should be, but rather slanted. Hard to explain. Happened to my car on the stock michelins after 11k. There is a TSB out for it that causes your rear tires to wear out prematurely. Bring it to the dealer. They wil adjust it for you.

with 20s on the car- the dealer CAN give you a hard time about suspension problems
There is a TSB tech service bulletin for the shops knowledge- but its not a recall-
you can try for a warraty fix, but when a direct connection can be made between a mod and a problem....

Still waiting to hear if it was ever aligned with the new rims on it and what the camber readings were

Yeah they will give you a hard time. Suggestion is to take the 20's off on the risk of them curbing your rims. It is better to do the alignment with the 20's on, but the dealer is not the place to do this. I would take it to a reputable alignment shop that deals with modded cars but by saying this, I'm not discrediting the dealerships knowledge

You just need an alignment. The tires and wheels don't make a big difference really. A camber kit is not going to really save you much headache either unless your car is slammed to the ground.

All 2004's and a VIN range of 2005's are eligible for replacement of the rear bump stops that cause premature wear of the rear tires, TSB 05-050. This car was not designed for 20 inch wheels and you may have a hard time getting a dealer to do it as a result.

The tires are BALD.. they started eating out in the center of the tire, but the tires are now completely bald. Ill try to take pics. Its just crazy because I havent even used my car for a GOOD 7, 8 months with the wheels on it and their this bald. I CANNOT drive it in the rain!! It feels like my rear end is CONSTANTLY hydroplaining.. So all I need is a rear end alignment?

I forgot to add that I do have tein basic coilovers on the car..

Wearing in the center might suggest tire over inflation. Also what is the wear rating on the tire?
