Axis/EXE Flair

These wheels are just insane! Will these fit on the 3G TL?

They come 20 x 8.5 Front (+32) and 20 x 9.5 rear (+40) with 5x114.3 bolt pattern.

If they fit, do they need hubcentric rings or any other add ons to make them fit properly?

I would love to see an example on a TL if anyone has them.

Here is a pic of the wheel.

Yessir, they should fit fine as long as you run the right tires.

You will most likely need hubcentric rings since they're probably going to be I think about 73mm compared to TL's 64.1 I think it is, the shop should include 'em for free though

Wheels should fit just fine, and all wheels come with hub rings. But, they look heavy.

Hmm. Couldn't find the weight anywhere. I think I'm gonna get these.

I found a place in Miami called CB Wheels-Car Boutique. Does anyone have experience with this place? Their website looks promising.

www.cbwheels.com

By the way... Thanks for the help, guys.

Haha that IS a serious website, no experience with them though.

1010tires.com is pretty legit, hit them up, they have them.

Also found this link off of eBay for you. Scroll down for pics on vehicles.

I ended up going to CBWheels today. They are a primarily internet based wheel distributor, but they do have a showroom. I actually met my first AZiner there. He told me his name but I kinda forgot. Maybe he will see this and chime in. He's got an 07 WDP TL-S with black RJ Legends and dropped on Eibach springs.

Anyway, They can no longer get the Flairs from EXE, but EXE has a new line of Flairs for Mercedes vehicles with a +48 offset. It looks exactly the same. The bolt pattern is 5x112 but they are able to drill out the holes to 5x114.3. I was concerned about this, but they ensured me this would be perfectly ok.

The other concern I had was that the bore was 66.7 and the TL's bore is 64.1. Even if there is a hubcentric ring that is 2.6mms, I'm not sure I want to use that due to fear of cracking. They said they could increase the bore to 73 so they can install a teflon ring.

Wheels are all 20x8.5 and I am going to run 245.30.20 tires.

Does anyone see any issues with this deal? Is the offset ok? I am going to drop as low as I can once these wheels go on, so I'm thinking the offset will work. What about the modifications to the bore and bolt pattern? I am supposed to drop a down payment tomorrow so they can order them but I don't want to get stuck with a problem when all is said and done.

Your help is GREATLY appreciated.

dont do it, like I said in my pm, you can call axis ur self and speak to one of the guys, I've dealth with axis a ton of times

streetdreams.org ships axis wheels all day
20x8.5 +32 in a 5x114.3 is $500each
and the rear stagger is a little more

as for the 245/30 fronts, it'll rub so go down to 235/30 just to be safe

That looks sick

I just dropped a G on Nittos - 245/30/20 less than 1000 miles ago and I'd hate to waste that money. I'm already gonna have to take a loss selling my nearly brand new Status wheels. So i'm gonna have to stick with a high offset so the 245's clear the fenders.

I just did some research on redrilling bolt patterns and it didn't look too promising. I Don't think I'm gonna go with this setup. So now I'm back to square ONE.

It's seemingly impossible to find 20's with a high offset that actually looks good.

Update

I called Axis and they said they would never drill out a bolt pattern. What they do is insert a permanent blank and then drill and taper the new bolt pattern. The wheels would come with a full Axis warranty.

That being said, I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on this, since Axis will do the modification on the wheel and back it by a full warranty.

Stillhere and ballinfizzle, thanks for the guidance!

Is his name Spencer? He crashed his car and messed it up pretty bad. Since then he has been afk. He came to the meet before last that we had at Dolphin mall.

Can't remember. He did mention that he attends meets at the Dolphin mall, and asked me to come to the next one. I asked him to PM me when the next meet is announced.

Though I only saw the front and passenger side of his whip, it all looked fine to me. No dents or anything.
