Thumbs up Aspec wheel chrome pitting... should I buy?

I found a set of 18x8 Chrome Aspecs from an '05 but on EVERY spoke there is a tinny bit of pitting in the chrome, and one wheel has a dime size chip in the chrome (but no curb rash). They come with tires and TPMS, but the tires are basically bald... so my question to all of you is... is it worth $700? I need to make a decision before someone else picks these up. Let me know if you guys think this is a good or bad deal. Give me your

Thanks guys

yi, can get them brand new for $1050, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=260413733220

$700 doesn't seem entirely too bad

well thats a hard decision, becuase for only 350 more I can get a perfect set... so i dont know if I should man up and spend the extra $$ or deal with some non-perfect rims

I'll be buying from the auction soon. Clint from Findlay Acura is very helpful and he has a good reputation here on this forum, so know you're buying from a very trusted acura dealership.

Or -- you take a "damaged" set and don't worry about scuffing them up as much. I rarely parallel park or have to park near curbs, so I should be pretty good (hopefully)

Even though I didn't buy tires from him (I went with General Exclaim UHPs), this is what he offers(or at least offered to me via email):

TIRES AND WHEELS, SHIPPED PACKAGES

WITH BRIDGETSONE RE760 $2075.00

WITH GOODYEAR EAGLE GT $1950.00

WITH YOKOHAMA AVS ES 100$2000.00

ALLL PRICES INCLUDE MOUNTING,BALANCING,NITROGEN AND PACKAGING.

And those are the only tire choices he said I had.

Are the black rims in your avatar your rims now? If so, those are very nice! I would just hang onto them.

If you REALLY want to change rims, look at other options. Have you checked out College hills acura? They have the 19" HFP rims for $270 a piece. I love those!

Rockstar, yes the ones in my avatar are my rims right now. I am not really wanting to switch rims, but I was unsure if I should pull the trigger on these just to have them if I want to sport the Aspecs. You have a link to College Hills Acura?

^ Agreed. In the end, you'll be much happier with the new set of wheels. If you go the cheap route, it will bother you all the time and you'll wish you just ponied up the extra cash. I've learned this lesson in many different situations.

There was a thread on here somewhere...gimme a sec. Let me preface that by saying I DOUBT they will fit over big brakes up front. I have 8.5" Aspecs and love em but of course every once in a while I get the itch to switch it up. But then again...the grass is always greener.

Here's the link.
http://www.collegehillshonda.com/hon...ord_wheels.htm

I LOVE these...and for a grand for 19" OEM rims...I wish they would fit.

Ditto that on Clint. I ordered A-spec chrome look wheels for my 2007 MRP Type S yesterday.
