Hey guys I want 18"s and I've been looking at the RJ Legend GTs... but I came across this today on CraigsList and the guy only lives 10 mins from me.

They look like the ASpec Gun Metal rims. He claims they are flawless. They come wrapped in Yoko Advan's (not sure on the specs) but 2/4 tires need to be replaced. The other 2 have ~5k miles on them. The rims themselves have ~10k miles on them.

He's asking $650.

He said the 2 tires that need to be replaced blew out or the sidewall is cracked, with no damage to the actual rim.

Haven't checked them out yet. Anything in particular to look out for? Hows the pricing? Gonna see them on Monday.

How much would you guys pay for only the rims?

 

Well, since 2 of the tires are scrap...I didn't even factor them into the equation. I think that $650 for the wheels alone is a super deal, so 2 good tires included is a bonus.

 

go get them, i saw a guy on craigslist awhile ago selling the same things but with all newer tires for 800. didnt have the money at the time and im still kicking myself in the ass

 

Waiting to check em out tomorrow evening... I'll take pictures when I get them on my car. Gotta order 2 tires first.

 

BTW, tires are Yoko 235 ZR18s. Good tires? I assume these are the Yoko Advans? 235/40/ZR18s?

ditch the tires and look for a better all season alternative imo; besides, you drive around Chi town....UGH (i hate driving around chicago LOL)

but i'd keep those two in the rear and just get two new front tires, for now at least

With those 2 tires still with decent tread, can I just replace the other 2 with all-seasons and put them in the front? Or should I buy 4 new ones and put thes up in the Black Market? What would you guys recommend? I've been looking at Falken 452s. They have them priced at $159.99/tire so... $320-$15 (coupon) + tax. What do you guys think?

The other tires they have are Sonar SX-1, Sonar SX-1 EVO and Mich Pilot Sport P2

Eibach Pro Kit. Dunno how much they were... the guy who sold me the car was gonna install them but never got around to them.

A bunch of AZers were saying ~$200 to get them installed. A shop by me wanted $360!!!

Yeah condition was pretty excellent. Some small rock chips but the rims were refinished and cleaned.

Is it me, or the gap is unusually huge? With my stock tl-s rims, I can put only a few fingers in between tire and fender...but here I can put a whole freaken elbow..

What am I missing here?

Anyway, I've had the rims on for a day. I feel like they look pretty stock... maybe I'll like them more after my drop but I have a feeling I won't be holding onto these for very long.

Guess when you have your heart set on something, you're not happy til you have them (RJs!!)
