Aspec Auto vs Aspec Manual?

What is the difference between the Aspec Suspension for the automatic
versus the Aspec Suspension from the manual transmission?

Parts guy I spoke with said that visually he could tell no difference, but that there might be a difference due to the extra weight for the automatic transmission. Acura also has two different part numbers for it.

From what they told me - the only difference is that the auto includes the high perf. brake pads and the 6MT does not need them.

That's incorrect. Brake pads are not included with the suspension.
You are talking about the full A Spec kit. There are two different A Spec SUSPENSIONS for the TL.

the brakes on the manual are the brembos so i am sure that the suspension is a little different so one would not fit the other.

Makes sense - I guess I was simply misinformed.

I'm pretty sure this is correct - that the fronts are different, likely due to the weight difference.

Parts guy at Falconi Acura said that he compared both side by side and could visually and physically see no difference. Though, he did say the spring rate will probably be lower on the front dampners of MT because of the lighter transmission.

I just purchased a MT suspension package for my AT TL. I'm hoping it will cure the common problem of the front of the car being higher than the back on most TLs with the suspension installed. Hopefully the extra weight of the car combined with the MT suspension, will lower the front more and even out the look. We'll see how it goes... Any thoughts on the matter?

Did I read you correctly? You purchased the 6MT A-spec suspension for your 5AT? Uhh, you may want to call Falconi now and swap them because the front pieces will NOT fit the 5AT according to everyone here who has made the purchase. If I remember correctly, the mounting points are different for the fronts between the 5AT and 6MT. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Hmmm... Why would acura need to change the mounting points? How do you know this? Can you be positive that they will not fit? Thanks for the input.

According to posts here a while back, Acura separated out the suspension for the 5AT and 6MT not only due to weight differences but also do to packaging issues. I apologize ahead of time if I am wrong. I don't have the definitive answer but below is the result of a search I just did and dcarlinf states that the suspension knuckles are different. He did the install on his TL himself. Again, I might be misinterpreting his statement but I would hate for you to get the something that won't fit. Please keep me posted.
