Have about 20-25k miles on mine at this point and they seem to be holding up just fine. However, I can also vouch that these definitely are not meant to be in the snow.

All seasons are barely any better on ice than summer tires. But, the A/S 3 is definitely not as good in winter as the A/S Plus was. This tire is a great contender for someone who lives in a more mild climate.

Despite this, I would buy them again. Having to drive my car in the snow is a rare occasion, so its worth it for how they perform in every other condition.

Been in a decent amount of snow and ice lately, they still handle fine but TC 55and ABS are working a little harder, no actual issues though. I only have 2-3k miles on them though I'm sure in a year or two they'll suck but I don't see what all the hype about them being bad in snow is about. Not the best but not bad, I wouldn't expect much more from an all season and the handling is definitely worth it.

I just purchased for my summer wheel setup - yet to be installed - as I have blizzaks for the crazy NE snow

awesome tire for the price IMO compared to the Super Sport which is what I was leaning to but budget forced me into the AS/3

I will second the 'bad in snow' comment. I have about 20k on mine now and they are worse in snow than the old Sport Plus versions were. Much worse in some cases. Handle about the same in wet & dry (bother are/were excellent) but are wearing much better on the edges than the Sport Plus versions.

Oh, and as a side note... the AS3's have an annoying tendency to follow road imperfections now at 20k miles. I don't recall the SP versions doing this, then again those were unidirectional and I'm cross rotating the AS3's so that may come into play.

Thanks for your updates! I've been considering the AS3s for 3 season tires. Really appreciate your updates.

I think I may need to make the switch to these. After reading some of the reviews here, and dealing with the bubbles from potholes from this terrible winter in my Continental Extreme Contact DWS tires I guess it's time to try something else. Anyone else glad they made the switch from the DWS's (if they had them) to these Michelin's? I see that one trade-off is going to be the snow traction in the winter. I just can't take the soft sidewall anymore. Guess I will have to find a set of cheap rims with dedicated snow tires.

super quiet, sticky and goes over bumps with ease

That's my plan for next year.

Has anyone with the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires noticed a 5-10% drop in mpg?

The only entity that sees them as orgasmic is your local gas station. I got an immediate 3 to 5 mile per gallon drop the moment I put them on. When I took them off for the Michelin A/S 3's, my gas mileage came right back. Something's not right about these tires because I've seen scattered reports on the internet of others having that same MPG problem .

Talk about too short-lived, I had these tires for a month then got rid of them per Cooper's 45 day trial period. They also had a little bit of a hard ride which I might have tolerated if not for the mileage thing.
