Anyone ever tried GT Radial Champiro's?

Thinking about buying them just to try it out.. they're like $69 per tire, and my Conti's just wore out at 30,000 miles (weird). Don't have a ton of cash right now, and although I could afford another set of Conti's I just don't feel like dropping 750 bucks right now!

So if anyone has used them, could you tell me how bad they are? If I don't get any response, I'll just be the guinea pig and report back with how they feel. Who knows, maybe I'll find a decent tire at a super low price!

I'm on a thight budget, just bought a set won't get them till this
monday. So no review here. But the distributor said there not
40,000 mile tire. If I can get 20,000 out of them I'll be happy.
paid 350 shipped, I know cheap...but got other bills to pay too.
Oh buy the way their 235 40 18's

They LOOK like Michelin PS3's, which is funny because I work at a Michelin warehouse and some of those GT's pass through here every few weeks or so. Gonna go see about them in about an hour, looking at 425 installed with repair certificates hopefully!

One positive part is that I can shred the shit out of these tires and not feel bad about it.

Okay, so first impressions.

-They handle pretty crisply. A little sharper than the Continental's I had on the car before.
-Grip on the corners is nice. Had to swing it around pretty hard to get them to squeal.
-A moderate amount of noise on the freeway. Nothing the radio can't drown out.
-Pretty damn stiff sidewalls, so they are rough. With A-Spec suspension, my Progress bar on "track", and these tires, I can feel every bump on the road. They don't shake my teeth out, but the certainly don't cushion anything.
-No comment on treadlife, as I just installed them today.
-They look SHARP. Like I said before, they look similar to some of the top end Pilot Super Sports, so they give the car a pretty agressive image.

Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with them so far, especially for ~$375 OTD with repair/replacement certificates, but we will see how quickly they wear out!

Thanks for the first impressions. I am going to need tires in the next few months, and have been considering those tires. So if possible, give us additional impressions as you live with them longer. Thanks.

I now have 80 miles on them, road noise can not really hear
the tire, pretty quite. For an inexpensive tire they handle nice and look like a more expensive tire and the tire really looks
nice.There's my long reveiw....peace
