Any TLs out there with CLASSY aftermarket custom wheels?

Any TLs out there with CLASSY aftermarket custom 'deeper' lipped wheels? More interested in seeing the HRE 540 style, 549.. that type.. Not the 'pimp' type like I have seen other places.. eeks.. money can't buy taste that's for sure.

Thanks!

we can't really go that deep on the lip because we have FWD cars, and its even worse if you have 6MT as only certain wheel applications will clear the caliper.

Kbucker.

I love your comment about the anti "pimp look". Here's my GDP/5AT/NAV.TL.

The wheels are MSR 183 Tech 17". We uped the rim size to 8.5". With the gold package and the gold centers on the wheels ,I 've had a huge number of compliments.....hey! I'm happy!!

MGOKOOL, you should get those powder coated when you grow tired of the chrome, that would look nice...

U know Acura=rice J/K
I am not kidding about your demographics. Acura=value, the strongest reason for purchase. So I seriously doubt any TLers throwing 4 or 5k wheels on their TL. Of course they would throw something that looks like I-forged or HRE on there.
Before you think I am bashing, let me link the only pics and probably only pics of a TL with HREs.

The rest can be found here
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=5333

Shoot just look at the posts. "I want lips". "I'm going staggered". "I'm getting a 9" wide wheel". All wannabe RWD attributes.

Actually "GoBig" a member of this forum also has HRE's. I guess there are two TL's with HRE's.

I completely agree with you about the "staggered" rim set up. I wonder if people know why RWD cars have it, and why it doesn't make any sense on a FWD car.

I assume you are talking about HRE rims. You can view them at www.hrewheels.com You can order directly through them, or other vendors such as www.wheelsboutique.com

Hope this helps.

Not sure if it is an issue for you or not, but if you are wanting HRE's that are 19", be prepared to spend somewhere around $800-1100 per wheel!!!

FYI...a member on this forum bought wheels through wheelsboutique and said that he would never use them again...I can't remember the exact issue, but I think the vendor shipped different tires than promised and was all around shady. Also, be aware that their online pricing is a joke, I called to confirm pricing before, and they told me that their online pricing needs updating (they jacked the price of one wheel up by nearly $100/wheel compared to the online posted price.

Interesting. Thanks for posting that. I guess I'll use their website with a grain of salt. I haven't heard of any complaints, but its always good to be aware.

Anybody have 19 maido st5 or falken koblenz on their tl? If not does anyone have 19's with comptech or other springs and 35 or 36 mm offset wheel? I've read on here others talking about these wheels but haven't seen that anyone has gotten them. Both companies say they fit the auto w/out brembos but it seems it would be close based on what offsets everyone else has been calling for. I think they look high performance (when not chrome), have a deep lip, and don't scream pimp.
