One on the right for me
I have had the RE750's on my car for over 30k. I have about 5k more in tread life. I really like the tires, they are a little louder than the EL42's but are great when the road is both wet and dry. If I didn't want to explore other options with tires I'd buy these again in a second.

It seems as though there is a lot of inconsistancy in tire recommendations in this thread. I have about 16k on my OEM Bridgestone Turanza EL42s and while the tread seems to be lasting, I hate these tires because of the noise and balancing issues. I just spent $110 to have them "road force" balanced to no avail. I still get tons of vibration starting around 50 MPH on up to 100. I contacted Acura Customer Service and had a case created because I'm so dissatisfied with these junk tires.
I started reading this thread because I thought it might help me when I'm ready to purchase new tires. I know Acura is putting the Michelin Pilot Sport or A/S on the 06 TLs with navi. I have the 05 non-navi 6M.
I am personnally more concerned about tires that won't flat spot, vibrate, etc. I'm not as concerned about the handling. (Although both would be nice) I had the Falken Ziex 512 on my 03 Type-S and I thought they were really noisy and didn't like the fact that they are directional. They handle pretty good for the price, but there's got to be a tire that has decent handling, quiet for a low profile performance tire and good traction. I keep hearing good things about the Michelin Pilot Sports and sounds like it fits the profile that I described above.
Has anybody else tried the Michelin Pilot Sports? Are they noisy? Do they require road force balancing or can they be balanced like most other tires? Are they directional (can they only be rotated on one side)?

My 06 navi came with non-directional michelin pilot hx mxm4 tires. The tires have been great. Relatively quiet, good dry and wet traction, good tread wear and NO vibration at any speed up to high double digits. However, they were so bad in the snow that I've bought snow tires with dedicated wheels. Will definitely stay with them when it’s time for replacing.

I don't know where you are located but if you want/need all season performance tires I would recommend Toyo Proxes4's. I put them on in the fall and I like them a lot. I bought 255/40-17s for my stock rims. I like the looks and handling. A big improvement over the EL-42s. I would always advise to get a four-wheel alignment when replacing tires. For $80 you can't beat it.
I've also heard very good things about the General UHP Exclaim as previously mentioned.

If you don't need tires very soon, you should scour eBay. You'll be amazed at the prices of brand name new tires that you could get. I did this for my last set.

I appreciate the feedback and will take that into consideration when purchasing new tires. Do you have to "road force" balance your General UHPs? What about the Toyo Proxes?
I'm just so frustrated because I can't figure out exactly where the vibration is coming from. I was 99% sure it was the tires until reading a few other threads. There are other people with the 6MT that haven't been able to resolve the vibration issue. Even after replacing the tires with other brands, they still have the issue. One other guy said he had his brakes replaced which did resolve the issue.
I'm hoping that the case I opened with Acura Customer Service will help me at least troubleshoot what the problem is. It's ridiculous that most people on here with these issues were not able to find a resolution through their local dealerships. I've always been a Honda/Acura fan, but this is really annoying. I've got friends with Nissan Maximas and Infinity G35 and don't have these types of issues.
I've already traded my 03 TL-S for my 05 because of transmission problems. Fortunately, Radley Acura gave me a lot more then my 03 was worth and sold me the new 05 for 29k which is about 1,300 under invoice. That is almost unheard of. They knew I wasn't happy and gave me a great deal. If they hadn't given me such a good deal, I might have gone with another manufacturer.
Now that I'm having these vibration problems, I don't know what to do. I can't keep trading for new cars. I drove my 91 Honda Accord EX for almost 13 years and loved it. I'm not used to having these problems.
