Any experience with Konig wheels?
I came across these on craigslist and they're pretty tempting because I've always loved the looks of te37's and varrstoen reps are pretty pricey. What do you guys think? Should I jump on these? I'm having a hard time finding any info on these. Fitment seems alright. Not too agressive but more agressive than my current 19x8.5 +45's

I always thought Konig wheels were decent wheels. But hey for $650 and a free spare rim, by them and if you don't like them sell them!! +20 too, depending on the tire you run, you will probably need to roll the fenders.

good to hear. My main concern now is that I asked the seller what the wheel model name is and that he could look on the back of the rim and it's probably printed on the back with the specs but he says that it doesn't say. He also said they don't say Konig anywhere so that concerns me. What if they're not even konigs? I would hate to get a replica of a replica! Haha

Have him send close up pics of the backs.

Hmm, make sure you know the company who makes them. I looked through Konig's website earlier and I didn't see that style rim from them. The guy also lists them as being a forged rim, which Konig does not do, otherwise they'd be way more expensive.

Yeah I noticed it says "forged" on the rim. I've heard of companies stamping that on the rim for aesthetic purposes to make them look more real. I know they're not forged for sure. And I told him I couldn't find that rim on their website and he says I probably couldn't find it because this wheel model was discontinued awhile ago and that he bought these over a year ago. And about a picture of the back of the rim, he said it only says the size and offset. I'm a little skeptical but the price is so tempting.

Well if you buy them you can always turn around and sell them for the same price lol. I'd ask for a pic though, just to be sure. Also Konig's website has a section "Discontinued wheels", I didn't see it there either.

For that price it's probably worth it, like I said, if you don't like them or don't like how they feel then you can always sell them back.

Well I went ahead and snagged them. As far as knowing if they're Konig wheels, I'm still not positive. It doesn't say Konig anywhere on the rims themselves. The labels on the box say konig but there's a part on the label where he deliberately tore off on all of the boxes. Of course I didn't notice that until I got them home. So now it's got me wondering what he removed from the label. I tend to worry too much so it's got me worrying that the rims are gonna come apart on me on the freeway or something even though thats probably unlikely and really has nothing to do with the labels on the boxes haha . Regardless, I have them now. Now I just have to order up some hub centric rings and get my tires swapped over to them.

Nice man, can't wait to see pics of them insatlled. And I think you'll be fine. Most "cheap" rims if they turn out to not be Konigs don't just fall apart for no reason. It's when people auto-x there cars putting massive strain on the rims from high speed and sharp turns that cause a lot of rim failure and warping.
