Will the wrong nut damage the wheel?


I guess my real question is.... can the rim be repaired if it is damaged by lug nuts that are different from what the wheel calls for.

What I'm talking about is the hole in the wheel where the lug nut goes and attaches to the lug itself.

Say you use a conical lug nut on a wheel that calls for a ball/round lug nut...or visa versa.

 

Another thing I have not noticed... which style comes on our TL's???
