Almost snow tire time.....:(

Hello all, I ran my Nankang all seasons last year and they performed quite well, I was surprised. They were new on the car when I purchased it in 2009. I never would've chose....
I"m going with a snow tire and wheel package this year. Probably going to go a size down to 16's for better snow traction. Just looking for any opinions on running either 16's or stock 17's and which is a good tire. I was thinking the Toyo Observes as I had them on my 99 Maxima and they were fantastic. Sorry to be talking about snow tires in August....

I enjoy my LM-60s =)
I'm no tire expert but they get the job done - also cost a pretty penny too.

Were your Nankangs noisy?

Omg yes!! From day one when they were new and have only gotten worse as they've worn. I'm going to love my TL all over again once I get new performance tires on my stock wheels. Do you run 16's or 17's in the snow. I'm thinking 16's just to get more sidewall. Thanks for responding btw.

I have a set of Pirelli Winter SottoZero 17's. Used them on my TSX wagon last winter. They performed great.

I am running the stock 17" in the snow =)

My neighbour complained that his brand new Nankangs were too loud. He's asking me for suggestions to which tires to replace them with.

Yeah, they're awful. They're just an entry level tire from China they threw on the car to sell it.
