Almost ready to buy, what do you think?

You guys have much more experience in this tire game than I do.

I have checked out a lot of info, and have come up with these choices.

I am currently looking at the 17x8 SSR Competition Wheels and
a set of Dunlop SP Sport 5000 Symmetrical Tires (215/50VR17).

I do not want a tire that needs to be replaced every year. I plan on getting a winter type tire for the TL-S rims to use in the winter.

Do any of you see a problem with this wheel or the tire size? Will it screw up my speedometer?

I can get both the wheels and tires from Tim, so that is cool.

What do you guys think?

215 is not the right width for that rim, 225 would be better so maybe 225/45/17 or 235s.

Personally, I just don't see the excitement with these rims. Yeah they're light, but I don't think they would look good on a 4-door. Lot's of CL owners have them.

Just my opinion.

Not a bad looking wheel but I don't know if it's right for the TLS. I don't know how the price compares, but I like the SSR GT3 wheel much better (see pic below).

And I agree with StanMan. I have a 17x8 wheel w/ 225/50-17 Mich. Pilot Sport XGT Z4 and I think 215s would be too narrow. I'm not sure about 235s. I know they'll fit the wheel but I don't know if they'll rub. Others have had no problems with that width. I already have a set of BFGoodrich g-Force KDWS (235/45-17) but I haven't mounted them yet. I have gotten far more out of the Michelins than I expected -- almost 60000 miles!

Hope this helps.
