I am looking to install them at a local discount tire shop so the prices are $120 and $135 respectively (Continental is more expensive)
It seems like the BGgoofrich is the new king according to the tirerack.com ratings. Seeing the ratings, I have a hard time justifying Continental over BFGoodrich even though my current tires are DWS'es. They have about 35k and both S and W letters are gone, so they are pretty much shot for the driving conditions in Chicago given their 50k milage warranty (not so happy about that).
Does anyone have any experience with the BFgoodrich tires especially this particular model? Is there any reasons why I should go with DWS over the BFgoodrich?
you may be able to get a mileage credit from Continental towards the DWS06, like $20-30 a tire.
This is actually a good recommendation! Thank you. I am going to visit my local tire shop to see if the tires would qualify for any pro-rated warranty and go from there.
4k on my DWS06 tires... so far so good. No snow to test them in yet, but wet & dry handling are great, tracking fine & noise minimal. Can't compare them to the BFG's though since no history with that tire.
The tire shop reviewed the remaining thread on my current DWS'es and it looks like I will be getting $180 credit toward new set of tires. This really made my choice that much easier so I already placed an order for a new set of DWS06'es since they didnt have my size in stock. Hopefully they will have the tires for Saturday installation.

Best of luck with them and it would be good to get your opinion / comments after you have rolled up some mileage. We have the DWS on my daughter's Accord and have been very happy with them all year round.
So far so good. It is hard to compare them to my other DWS'es (it has been a long time), but it feels great to have a quieter car and one that does not spin wheels at every turn
I'm in the same boat for my Accord V6, also in the Chicago area. Let me know how those DWS06 ride. The BFG has very short life it looks like with, 400AAA rating only?

They're gonna be my 1st choice too! After reading the owner reviews on Tire Rack and my guy at Mavis Tire Corporate telling me he had the chance to drive on them recently finding them exquisite, then gave me a price of $130 - mounted, balanced, and installed with a Road Hazard warranty, I was made an offer I couldn't refuse. I was gonna go for the DWS 06's, but this was too good to pass up.
Can't wait to get rid of the highly overrated Michelin A/S 3's before the snow comes.

My wife has DWS on her MDX... We also had freezing rain a few days ago... I got her car up our inclined driveway, with narry a hickup even tho it was glazed over in ice... My car on the other hand, even with AWD, my POS Bridgestones took me several tries to make it up the same driveway at the same time... I had to get a running start with the traction control off....
I probably won't go tooling around in freezing rain on purpose with the DWS, but it was nice to know that it was able to tackle my ice laden inclined driveway without any problems.
Goodyear Eagle Sport A/S are the highest rated all season HP tires on Tire Rack. While I haven't driven in much snow with mine, what I did it drove just fine. Plus I got nearly 50k miles out of them. Very quiet tire, excellent wet/dry grip. Right up there with the Pilot Sport A/S tires wet and dry and significantly better in snow.

I actually want to disagree cause from the All-seasons perspective the Goodyear tire is clearly inferior and costs about $50 more for the set. Even if the snow traction wasn't the concern, I cant see how this tire is better than DWS06 ?
I will not buy Goodyear again. Whatever happened with the first generation of Eagle F1 was not cool. The tires got EXTREMELY NOISY after a hundred miles. I mean they were howling.
Yeah, Continental improved on a winner, but Goodrich is giving them a run for the money and the Comp-2 A/S is $68 cheaper per set... I may give Goodrich a try next time around...

I had the original Goodyear Eagle F1 A/S's. They were excellent in ALL conditions, but wore quickly. They only got noisy when the tread was almost gone.
