Alignment Guru's Needed! HELP!!
I installed my HT Spec Type 1's a couple months ago. After the install, I noticed each side was different from the other in terms of height. So to level everything out, I basically used one wheel as a template and adjusted the others to match the same height measuring from the ground to the edge of the fender arch. My alignment numbers were as follows.
LF -1.3 RF -1.8 LR -2.5 RR -1.4(only wheel within spec). I started to wonder if the mismtach numbers were as a result of the mismatch height between all 4 corners. I just got some new wheels and I am going to do an alignment again on Friday. My question is, do I measure equal length between the top and bottom collar of each coilover and then when aligned the height issue will be corrected or do I leave the car as is now and still get the alignment? Thanks in advance

weird.. I have my coilovers set at the exact same height (front with front and rear with rears) but the amount drop difference is about 3/8" from left to right..
I have a feeling my weight (185lbs) and the type of turns I take contribute to sag and the amount difference in wheel height/gap(?) Its annoying having the height not even tho
So I guess after the coils settle, Even out the height before getting an alignment? Because from my experience, even coilovers don't equal an even drop
not sure if anyone else have noticed this

Best thing to do is to set the height the way you drive the car most of the time.... if that means 85% of the time you drive just by yourself, set the height so when it's just yourself in the car, it sits flat while on even ground.
Definitely set your ride height BEFORE getting your alignment. It's very easy to knock a car out of alignment... it can look fine on the alignment machine, but once you drive it off the rack it can get out of spec.
I'm no guru, but a guru told me to do it this way.

The height is ok now but I was just wondering if its because of the diff lengths of the coilover which gave the weird alignment results. Is it safe to have it like that?
