Aftermarket wheel options for 6 speed TL
Does anyone know if ANY aftermarket 18" wheels that will fit the new 6 speed TL? If so which ones?
Here is what I know for sure re: the optional OEM 18's.....
2004 ACURA NEW TL OEM ACCESSORY 18" WHEELS. EACH WHEEL COMES WITH CENTER CAPS + EMBLEMS + VALVE STEM . OEM PART # 08W18-SEP-200. 18" X 8.5" WITH A 45 OFFSET
What I'm unclear is if ANY 18X8.5 wheel w/45 offset will fit the 6 speed (with Brambo breaks). I have heard other posters say that even with the right size you can't be sure if the wheels will fit. Is that right?
So is there any aftermarket wheels (18's) that folks recommend that will with 100% certainty fit on the 6 speed TL?
I'm open to styles at this point.....
Perhaps a sticky post would be in order?

There are plenty of wheels out there that'll fit, but what's also important is... how much are you willing to spend? Remember, the bigger the wheel, the more expensive the tire... most likely non-rotatable... (you'll be able to switch from front to back, but not side to side).

If you can find a place that sells wheels that fit, please let us know.

you might have to buy a brand that offers fitments based on caliper clearance as well as diameter and width...and this usually means custom or imported (japanese) wheels. if you know the optional rims fit, you might want to take a look at one at the dealer and measure from the plane of the hub to the back of any spoke. this is the value you need to keep in mind when looking for wheels to clear your calipers. if you can't find a brand that lists all three values then it boils down to trial and error until you find something that fits.
it's a great thing with the 04s because the 8.5 width and 45 offset means there will be more choices!
