::Acurazine:: Help me pick some wheels

Well, I've decided to get my baby (2007 TL-S) some new shoes, and I've narrowed the choices down to three sets. I'm looking to get 18" x 8"/8.5".

RAZE R74 18 x 8.5 offset: 35
Price (per wheel): $120

5-Zigen Pro-Racing GN 18 x 8.5 offset: 48
Price (per wheel): $300

Enkei RPM2 8 x 8 offset: 45
Price (per wheel): $250

Obviously The RAZE wheels are the cheapest therefore the front runner; however, I'm a little concerned about the 35 offset. Can anybody chime in on this issue?

I like the last one, Enkei RPM2 8 x 8. But it also depends on the color of your car. As far as the fitment, I'm not sure.

My choice is between the Enkei and the 5Zigen.

I believe Enkei RPM2 18x8 in 35 offset (not 45) fits and clears the caliper. You might want to check with Enkei USA. IMO 45 offset won't look agressive enough.

According to 5Zigen's website, the Pro-Racer GN, 18x8.5 and 38 offset will clear big calipers, so they will clear your car's calipers. They will also fit the car nicely. The 48 offset won't clear the calipers.

My TL-S 6-spd, don't see how that makes a difference though.

Maybe someone can explain the offset for me. I know the stock wheels are 45 so I figured a wheel with a 48 offset would do better then a wheel with a 38 offset. Doesn't a larger offset stick out further?

Thanks again for all the replies guys. Right now I'm leaning towards the 5-Zigen wheels, mainly because I haven't seen any other TL's on the road with them. The Enkei's are a close second. The Mesh design seems to go well with the TL's.

Desper, thanks for the comment. I try to keep my avatars unique (Even though I stole it from somebody )

If you get 18's, I'd go with the 5 Zigens.

Thanks again for all the feedback guys. Does anyone know how I could tell if these wheels are TPMS compatible? So, far I haven't been able to find any info on the wheel sites.

I also came up with two more choices,

O.Z. Crono

&

Ron Jon Liquid Graphite Legends

I would still be getting 18"x 8/8.5" (I would like to put on 245/40 tires)

I think the bronze wheels (RAZE R74 & 5-Zigen GN's) would look nice against the black, but it does come off a little boy racer. Where are the O.Z. polish black seems the most understated which is what I'm going for. Price of course is another big factor. I guess it's good to have too many choice...

I think all one-piece wheels are TPMS compatible. two/three-piece wheels are what you want to worry about.

YAH the O.Z. LOOK HOT. If they had a polished lip they would look great on a black TL.

I like the top wheel, it has a full polished lip. I have seen the Enkei RPM2 on a car and

didn't like them. The 5 Zigen doesn't have a full polished lip, I don't like them

either. The OZ wheel would look fantastic if it had a polished lip, TOO much

black IMO. The Legends look nice.
