Make sure the centerbore size is 64.1mm. If it is, you're good to go.

Sure, 18 x 9.5 +40
I don't like stretched tires, so I went with 255's, and the front pokes a few mm at stock height. The rear is perfect. This will all change with a drop, of course.
18 x 9.5 +40 for the rear and +45 for the front is perfect IMO

18 x 9.5 +40 or +45 will work perfect, then depending on your drop and tires you could add spacers to make them flush.
Tire sizes would be (max to min):
265/35/18 <---square
255/40/18
245/45/18 or 245/40/18
235/45/18 <---stretched
It really just depends on the tire.

No no, 18 x 9.5 +40 are the wheel specs. If they were 18 x 9.5 +45 the wheels would set closer to the inside of the car by 5mm. Doesn't seem like much, but it would be nicer in the front.

So in that case do I need to mod anything to my fender?
Also what is mean square and stretched?
Thanks for your help!

You would not have to modify your front fenders, even if you got a 265/35/18. When people roll their "fenders", they're really saying that they roll the front edge of the rear quarter panel. Take a look at it. The top and rear of the back wheel arch is rolled from the factory, it's the front edge that protrudes.
Square means that the tire comes straight up from the edge of the wheel. Look at the difference between the tire that is on the car, and the tire that is laying against the car. The one on the car is stretched slightly, and the one laying against the car is square.

I think you are saying the front rims do not need much change in offset, if any.. Because if the rim could "come in" 5mm, that would put your 40mm and 45mm... correct? Because the higher the offset, the center of the wheel is pushed out and the outer edge is drawn in.
That's damn near perfect for a TL. Mine are the same except +40, and fitment in the back is perfect IMO. The fronts could come in 5mm, but when the car drops it'll do that on its own. So, they'll fit, but you might want some small spacers (depending on the drop you are going for).

Correct.

I would agree with that because in my little world of playing with spacers, I noticed the same thing. Plus, a wider rim/tire will bring it out some anyway.. even with +45 rims...
